Who Should Round Out Team Authority & Team Cena at Survivor Series?

This Monday's episode of Raw featured one of the best closing segments in recent memory. We saw alot unfold in the form of Randy Orton turning on The Authority and Triple H allowing Kane & Seth Rollins to "finish" his long time protege. They told a phenomenal story and in turn got myself along with many others, excited about the upcoming Team Authority vs Team Cena match at Survivor Series.

The match has already acquired that "big time feel". That means there's only one thing left for WWE to do leading into this colossal main event - pick the right people for each team.

So far, things have went like many expected. Kane & Rollins are leading Team Authority and Cena has recruited the second most popular guy on the roster, Dolph Ziggler, for his team. That means there are three open spots left for each team.

WWE has two options in filling the remaining spots. They could do the predictable and put veterans like Big Show & Mark Henry in those spots OR they could take a chance with some younger talent and give them some big match experience.

Obviously, I think they should do the latter. It's no secret that the WWE roster is overflowing with talent, but it's also obvious that they are lacking "top stars" so to speak. With Punk, Bryan, & Del Rio leaving, it's came back to Cena & Orton as the only two true main event players. At Hell In A Cell, WWE took a chance with Ambrose & Rollins and I'd argue to say it paid off. That's why Survivor Series is the perfect time to continue building towards that next generation.

Enough beating around the bush though. The point of this article is to discuss who I believe should fill the remaining spots on each team so let's get right into it by discussing Team Authority.

The first person I think that should be added to Team Authority is Rusev. It was teased on Raw and while I'm still not fully sold on Rusev, I think he has potential and this multi-man match is the perfect opportunity to see how he does in a PPV main event. Rusev has established himself as a force to be reckoned with and would be the perfect fit for Team Authority.

The next person that should join Team Authority is Titus O'Neil. Many of you are probably saying, what? Titus O'Neil? Yeah, "Gator" should be given a chance on Team Authority. I've been a big supporter of his for a long time and I think if given the chance, he could prove to everyone that he has main event potential. His charisma & cockiness would mesh well with The Authority and his size would be a reason for The Authority to pick him for their team. If this was to be done however, they can't continue to book him in squash matches. He needs to look dominant and I think the best way to do it would be to have him snap. On Raw, Titus cut a promo on joining Team Authority only to be interrupted by Ryback who ended up defeating him. I'd have Titus approach The Authority on Raw again this coming week about joining their team only for HHH to mock his loss to Ryback last week. Have Hunter tell him that they don't want a loser on their team and that he has to prove himself before he can even be considered for a spot on their team. Titus leaves and is met by Cesaro who lost to Ryback on Smackdown this past week when he attempted to get a spot on Team Authority. Cesaro & Titus execute a plan to make a statement and do so later in the night by viciously assaulting Ryback. As they are assaulting Ryback, Triple H comes down to the ring to voice his approval and Cesaro & Titus O'Neil are added to Team Authority.

So, Team Authority is set - Seth Rollins, Kane, Rusev, Cesaro, & Titus O'Neil.

Putting together Team Cena is a bit easier to explain since the people that should be on his team are basically the rivals of each member of Team Authority. Ryback joins because of his problems with Cesaro & Titus. Sheamus joins since Rusev beat him for the US Title. That leaves one final spot and I don't think that spot should be revealed until the closing segment of the final Raw before Survivor Series. Have Team Authority beat down Team Cena since the odds are against them. The Authority stands over Team Cena when out of nowhere Randy Orton runs through the crowd and into the ring with a steel chair and cleans house on The Authority. Randy Orton is the final member of Team Cena. Since Orton got taken out by The Authority on Raw this past week, I think his return should be saved for this moment because of how massive of a reaction he will get. It will be the perfect way to end the go home show before Survivor Series because it makes the fans want to see Orton get his payback on The Authority and end them for good.

And with that, both teams are set.

Team Authority - Seth Rollins, Kane, Rusev, Cesaro, & Titus O'Neil.

Team Cena - John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, Ryback, & Randy Orton.
