2015 WWE Royal Rumble Predictions

1) Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, & Adam Rose vs. New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, & Xavier Woods) - Elimination Match

This match may as well be billed as the underrated/misused talent showcase. All of these guys can go so I expect this to be good if given time. With the elimination stipulation, it makes me think that they are gonna let this one get a significant amount of time. New Day has defeated Cesaro & Kidd twice in a row on Raw so unlike most, I think the "Brass Ring Society" will pick up the victory here. They certainly need it.

Who I think will win - Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, & Adam Rose

2) The Ascension vs. New Age Outlaws
On a PPV that is one of the most unpredictable in quite some time, you have this match which is probably one of the easiest to predict in months. The Outlaws coming back around the Road to WrestleMania to put over young talent is becoming a trend and while I can't really complain because it's doing more good than harm, I still think putting The Ascension against the tag champs or another established current tag team would be a better choice. The days of fans being impressed by a squash match are over. The Ascension would benefit much more from a highly competitive match with The Usos than squashing locals and legends. None the less, the outcome of this match is clear. The Ascension gets the win.

Who I think will win - The Ascension

3) The Bellas vs. Paige & Natalya

As an avid supporter of the current Divas division, I hope these women get atleast 10 minutes to create the match that I know they can produce. Paige & Nattie are superb workers, Nikki is almost just as good, & Brie may not be great, but she can hold her own. As for who will win, I think Paige & Nattie will pick up the victory to set up future title defenses for Nikki.

Who I think will win - Paige & Natalya

4) The Usos vs. Miz & Mizdow - WWE Tag Team Title Match
This card is starting to look like a tag team showcase or something. The entire undercard is all tag bouts! Pretty different from what we normally get from WWE. Anyway, I expect this match to serve one purpose - to further the tension between Miz & Mizdow to set up for the eventual turn in the Royal Rumble Match later in the evening. Usos retain.

Who I think will win - The Usos

5) Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins vs. John Cena - WWE World Heavyweight Title Match
And we have now arrived at the extremely unpredictable part of the card. There are alot of different ways that WWE could go with this match, but I think I've figured out what will happen here. For weeks, we've seen slight teases of Heyman aligning with Rollins. The two had an excellently put together segment on Smackdown two weeks ago which really got my mind turning on the potential of the two forming an alliance. When these teases happen, Heyman says things like "When myself & Brock decide it's time for the future" and he even hinted towards gaining power within the Authority. That segment is something that I recommend checking out before the PPV because I have a feeling it's going to come to fruition during this title match. There were no hints on Raw of Heyman siding with Rollins aside from him trying to calm Brock down in the opening segment and hell, Heyman didn't do much talking either, Brock spoke for himself. I think this was done on purpose. They hinted at a Heyman/Rollins alliance then put it on the complete backburner on the go-home show. It will slip peoples minds which sets up for the perfect shocking screwjob. You know where this is going. I think Paul Heyman is going to turn on Brock Lesnar and side with Seth Rollins. What will be his reasoning for doing so? It will go back to that segment on Smackdown once again. Heyman hinted at being in charge during that promo and that's exactly what will happen. It will come out that Heyman was offered a power position by The Authority if he helped Seth Rollins win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Whether it's being the RAW GM, "Director of Operations", or whatever. He'll have some sort of power. We all know that Paul Heyman has been portrayed as someone who is power hungry and will attach himself to anything that will bring him money so this would make perfect sense. But whether or not all that goes down, I think Seth Rollins will leave the Royal Rumble as WWE World Heavyweight Champion and I do indeed think we will see something play out similar to what I detailed above.

Who I think will win - Seth Rollins

Additional prediction - Paul Heyman turns on Brock Lesnar and aligns with Rollins & The Authority and recieves the General Manager position in turn.

6) Royal Rumble Match
I said on Twitter earlier today that I thought alot of people would be shocked as to who I predict to win the Royal Rumble this year and I stand by that statement. Simply because it's not the person I would prefer to win and it's not any of the favorites that most people have predicted.

When trying to decide on who I thought would win, several names came to mind. Most notably, the guy that WWE clearly wants to be the face of WWE, Roman Reigns. I have my reservations on whether or not he's ready for a Mania main event considering he's only had one singles match on PPV and it seems that people within WWE have mixed feelings on him winning the Rumble as well.

Another guy that came to mind was Daniel Bryan. He's the person I'd like to see win, but would WWE want to risk putting the title on him again and waste another Road To WrestleMania only for him to get injured? I don't think so and I can't say I blame them.

With those two top favorites having question marks by their name, I thought to myself who else is there that could undoubtedly create a successful WrestleMania event against Brock Lesnar or Seth Rollins? One name came to mind - Randy Orton.

It may be a controversial pick to some, but in a way, it seems like this may have been the plan along. Seth Rollins took out Randy Orton in November and he's been off TV since. Say Seth Rollins wins the title as I predicted & Orton wins the Rumble - there you have the perfect blowoff to their rivalry as well as a solid main event for WrestleMania with an intense backstory!

The only thing that held me back from outright picking Orton was the fact that WrestleMania main events should always be the best good guy vs the best bad guy. And if that's the case, the main event should be Seth Rollins vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Title. In fact, I was even in the beginning stages of writing an article on why Rollins/Bryan should main event until Orton came into my mind and it threw everything off.

I think the determing factor will be WWE not wanting to take a risk with Daniel Bryan & Roman Reigns when they could go the safe route with Orton while also putting a new star in the form of Seth Rollins in the spotlight. That's what led me to picking Rollins to win the title and Orton to win the Rumble.

Who I think will win - Randy Orton
