Commentators - Jim Ross & Jerry "The King" Lawler

Show opens with Bischoff backstage telling the locker room he needs them to be warm and welcoming to Stone Cold this week. I guess last week made him change his tune after Austin destroyed 3MW. Rock interrupts and says he isn’t facing Booker T tonight. He says he wants Austin at WrestleMania and that’s his focus. Bischoff still wants him to compete and Rock says he will compete, but he wants to pick his opponent.

1) Rob Van Dam & Kane vs. Chris Jericho & Christian

Good little opener here. Balls to the wall for the majority of the time. Van Dam nails a frog splash on Christian only to eat a lionsault from Jericho immediately after and get caught for the three count.

Match rating - **1/4

Before the last match, they replayed Jericho’s attack on HBK from last week so you kinda knew what was coming here. Jericho celebrates after and gets SUPERKICKED BY SHAWN MICHAELS who says “See you at WrestleMania, boy” - guess his challenge from last week is accepted!

Booker T comes out. He doesn’t wanna wait til WrestleMania. Triple H wanted him to “dance” and he calls him out saying if he walks down that ramp, he’ll DANCE ALL OVER HIS PUNK ASS. LETS GO. Ric Flair comes out instead and basically says Booker is only fit to carry their bags. Book slaps him and goes to find Triple H in the locker room. H gives him a dollar to get him a towel so Book beats his ass and hits him with the door LMAO. Hell yeah.

Back from commercial, H tells Flair that Booker JUMPED HIM FROM BEHIND LOL. They go to find Booker before he leaves the building.

2) Jeff Hardy vs. Rico (w/ Jamal & Rosey)
This was just.. bizarre. Jeff Hardy is wrestling in a visor. Stone Cold enters the building mid match and cameras abruptly cut to that for a second. Just some real 2003 shit. Hardy wins a prolonged squash.

Match rating - *1/2

Triple H bullies Maven backstage and tells him to meet him in the ring later.

Stone Cold runs up on Goldust who starts stuttering about how Eric Bischoff wants to apologize to Austin tonight.

The Rock’s opponent for tonight is The Hurricane. Rock questions what powers Hurricane really has. Helms says “HURRIPOWERS BITCH” and it reminds Rock of why he wants to beat his candy ass. They shake hands and Rock wishes him luck only to cheap shot and slap him.

3) Trish Stratus vs. Jazz - #1 Contender’s Match for the Women’s Title

Winner gets Victoria at Mania. This little rivalry has been heating up in recent weeks. And… this ends before it even starts. Victoria attacks both women with the title and referees attend to them.

Eric Bischoff comes out after the break to try and start his apology speech to Stone Cold. Austin comes out and corners Bischoff, clearly not buying any of it. The Rock comes out and talks a bunch of shit. Austin asks him to come to the ring and try to whoop his ass, even laying down and giving him the chance to come in. Rock doesn’t and Austin says he still has to beat someone’s ass tonight and starts laying into Bischoff. Rock comes in from behind, but Austin turns around before he can get physical with him and Rock backs away out of the ring & back up the ramp.

4) Triple H (w/ Ric Flair) vs. Maven

H does a lot wrong during this time period, but this fucking ruled. Maven ate shit and H looked like everything he’s always tried to portray himself as. Al Snow tried to save Maven, but got put down as well. We love to see it.

Match rating - **1/4

Backstage, Chief Morley reminds Bischoff that Vince McMahon never tried to make amends with Steve Austin. This gives Bischoff the idea of doing him vs. Austin, but doing it “his way” this time since Vince I busy on Smackdown with Hulk Hogan.. whatever that means.

JR & King plug Girls Gone Wild again. Apparently Jerry is hosting a wet t-shirt contest tonight.

Stacy Keibler is on the phone with Test. He’s already at the place they’re filming Girls Gone Wild and she’s not too happy about it.

Stone Cold & Scott Steiner are standing there CHILLIN when Austin is informed he faces Bischoff next week. He laughs and walks off.

5) D-Von Dudley vs. Lance Storm & Sean Morley

Man this shit is getting OLD. This was supposed to be a tag, but Morley comes out and says it’s a handicap and if D-Von doesn’t win, the Dudleys will remain suspended. Morley & Storm have cops with them to ensure that Bubba leaves the ring. Morley & Storm win obviously and damn this shit is BOOORING.

Match rating - *

Jerry does the wet t-shirt contest next and I fast forward. He sprays Stacy’s ass with a water gun or something.

6) The Rock vs. The Hurricane

Biggest match of Shane Helms life here. The Rock gives him a lot even though Hurricane still looks out of his league completely. The crowd is into it though and this turns out to be a freakin blast. Stone Cold comes out near the end and Hurricane capitalizes on the distraction SND ROLLS UP THR ROCK FOR THE PIN WTF. I DID NOT EXPECT THAT BIG OF AN UPSET. Huge pop for it too! So much fun.

Match rating - **3/4

Austin laughs and stares down the Rock from the ramp to close the show. Wow.
