Replays of Kane giving Linda McMahon the tombstone from last week air. Jesus. What a wild ass angle that was.
NO CHANCE. Vince McMahon is here. He says he’s here to confront Kane for what he did to his wife.. not because he’s a good husband, but because he’s a man and Kane is not. Vince says he doesn’t know what’s going to happen when he has officials bring Kane to that ring tonight, but he can guarantee one thing. By the end of the night..
ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE !!!!
1) Booker T & Scott Steiner (w/ Stacy Keibler) vs. Christian & Test
Who knew all it took for Steiner & Test to have a match that isn’t absolutely terrible was to throw Book & Christian in the mix. This was a fun opener. They isolate Steiner after some brawling on the outside that sends us to commercial. Booker gets the hot tag and it rules because it always does. Bunch of reversals and some help from Steiner leads us to Book giving Test the scissors kick for the win.
Match rating - **1/4
At a press conference over the weekend, they announced Triple H defending the World Heavyweight Title against Goldberg as the main event for SummerSlam. We see clips from that and Goldberg will be here next!
2) Goldberg vs. Steven Richards
Back from commercial and we get every Goldberg match ever! Man this guy does nothing for me at all. Loser.
Match rating - 1/2*
Triple H comes out afterwards with Ric Flair and Randy Orton. They talk shit back & forth and I don’t give a rat’s ass. They tease coming to the ring, Bischoff stops them. Goldberg says it’s fine, he’ll say H at SummerSlam, but next week.. RIC FLAIR IS NEXT. Ok.
3) Val Venis vs. Rico
These guys worked hard as always, but it’s largely just a routine match that no one cares about despite them getting more time than anticipated. Lots of bad jokes from Lawler on commentary and yeah. Venis wins.

Eric Bischoff tells some jabronis backstage to scatter because the van is about to pull up with Kane inside. The van arrives and Bischoff orders them to not let him out until Vince is here.
Next up is Chris Jericho’s Highlight Reel with Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels as guests. Orton is out first AND HE COMES OUT TO LINE IN TJE SAND. They put over Orton’s finisher.. THE RKO. Then Jericho reminds Orton that he didn’t NEED his help to win last week. They are both wearing horrible looking 2003 style sunglasses and it’s a pretty funny visual when they’re face to face. Shawn Michaels is out next. Michaels says Orton thinks he’s gonna be the one to end him, but he’s the millionth person to say that. Michaels says he is gonna end Orton’s career before it even gets started. Jericho reminds Shawn he's the one who beat him last week.. not Randy. Shawn says “don’t get jealous honey” and says he’s down to have the third match in their series right here, right now. Orton & Jericho both call Shawn a son of a bitch and Shawn starts firing off. Kevin Nash comes out to help him even the odds. Orton retreats through the crowd and Kevin Nash gets on the mic and challenges Jericho to a match since he’s willing to face anyone but Shawn tonight.
4) Chris Jericho vs. Kevin Nash
Jonathan Coachman keeps calling Kevin Nash “Big Nasty” and maybe I’m just dumb, but I’ve never heard him called that in my life so that was funny as fuck to me. This is fine.. honestly better than anticipated. Jericho goes for the lionsault down the stretch and tweaks his leg when Nash moves. Nash hits a massive boot on him, but Chris manages to hit a low blow immediately after which causes the ref to call for the bell.
Match rating - **
After the bell, Nash beats the actual dog shit out of Jericho. He uses a chair on him and Jericho starts bleeding. He rams him into the steel steps and into an exposed portion of the barricade. BIG NASTY STANDS TALL.
Backstage, The Hurricane and Rosey are in the locker room. Rosey has been thinking on what Hurricane told him last week. He asks if he becomes Hurricane’s protege.. can he get a mask or a cape? Or superpowers. Hurricane says he has to crawl before he walks, but to trust in him.
5) La Resistance (Sylvan Grenier & Rene Dupree) (c) vs. Garrison Cade & Mark Jindrak - WWE Raw World Tag Team Title Match
This sure is an interesting one. Jindrak just failed his Evolution tryout so now he gets a tag title match with Cade, I guess. This happens and the Dudley’s are on commentary. It’s largely inoffensive. La Resistance retains off sPINEBUSTERZ.
Match rating - *1/2
Backstage, they finally release Kane from holding in the van and he looks mad as hell.
6) Gail Kim (c) vs. Molly Holly - Womens Championship Match
They had some good ideas here, but it largely just felt rough. The finish from Molly was cool as she cut a flip onto Kim to win the belt. This just felt clunky and an odd spot to do a title change. It made it feel like an afterthought.
Match rating - *3/4
The time has come. Mr. McMahon comes out to call out Kane. Officials bring Kane out in shackles. Vince orders them to remove the shackles. Vince talks shit, then makes the statement “what could a man like me do with a monster in the palm of my hand?” Stone Cold comes out. He says he made his decision and will remain the General Manager, but now he wants Kane to provoke him so he can beat his ass. Kane refuses even after Austin calls him a SON OF A BITCH. Sooo MONEY MONEY MONEY Shane McMahon comes out. Shane goes right after Kane. Vince pulls him off AND GETS A RIGHT HAND FROM HIS OWN SON. Shane blasts Kane up the ramp with a chair and sends him flying off the stage onto some cables and tables and shit. Just when it seems like Shane got the last laugh, Kane sits up and starts laughing in the pile of rubbage. This scene sends us off air.
